Fintech was founded with a vision to solve common issues within the beverage alcohol industry. All 50 states have unique liquor laws and strict payment terms that presented challenges to distributors and retailers alike, often preventing them from buying or selling alcohol and putting business at a standstill. Collecting and submitting timely payments was not the only issue facing the industry – methods were limited to cash, checks, money orders, and escrow transactions posing problems with managing multiple forms of payment, long reconciliation processes, and security concerns due to cash on hand.
Fintech’s founders came together after seeing the impact of these dated manual processes on efficiency and profitability, and knew they could solve these common issues using an electronic funds transfer (EFT) solution. Fintech received its first state approval in 1991 to use EFT as a cash equivalent for the payment of beer, wine, and spirits. After 18 dedicated years, this payment method was approved in all 50 states, an achievement that solidified Fintech as an instrumental asset to the modernization of the alcohol world.
Today, using payment as its foundation, Fintech continues to build cutting-edge, strategic solutions that support ordering efficiency, sales strategy, invoice and payment reconciliation, data reporting, pricing and promotion communication, and regulatory resource connectivity. With decades of industry experience, paired with unwavering dependability and trust, we empower users with information to increase margins and maximize operating efficiencies within their beverage alcohol category. By anticipating client needs, nurturing relationships, and growing partnerships within the industry, we are proud to be trusted with the management of alcohol purchase data for over half a million business relationships nationwide.
"It is an honor to work with such dedicated Fintechers whose passion for service and drive to reinvent how business is done in the alcohol industry is second to none - proving every day that our true competitive advantage is our people."
